Marty wants to make your booking experience as uncomplicated as possible, so we have attempted to answer as many questions you may have about the process. Please take a moment to review his terms for service below. Do not hesitate to contact us with any concerns or questions…Thank You!
Booking:
You may call, email, or forward your request via Quote Request page. Once you confirm the date, time, and location of the event, Marty’s office will send an Invoice and/or Contract to you for your signature. You may return your signed documents to Marty’s office either by email or fax. Your signature reserves the date and time for your event. Marty or his office personnel will call the week of your event to confirm and discuss last minute details.
Payments:
The balance of your invoice is due and payable upon the completion of Marty’s performance.
Ways to pay:
Company check, money order, cashiers check, Paypal, credit card, or cash…No personal checks, please!
Note: An additional 3.5% processing fee will be applied to Paypal and credit card payments.
Deposits:
Marty understands that each event has unique requirements, so he reserves the right to request a deposit based on the type, length, location, and date of performance.
Stage Shows:
Marty is flexible and capable of performing strolling magic and balloon art indoors or out, but he requires an indoor location or enclosed structure for his stage presentations as the wind wreaks havoc with his props…he spends more time chasing them than making them disappear.
For stage presentations, Marty requires a minimum 10 x 8 area with either a wall or pipe and drape behind him.
A 110 outlet for his sound system.
A stage or riser would be favorable, but not required.
Out-of-town performances:
If Marty is requested to travel, client is responsible for all travel arrangements to include flight reservations and hotel accommodations. Meals and shuttle/taxi receipts will be submitted to Client for reimbursement.
Trade Shows/Conventions:
Client needs to provide badge/etc. for admittance into trade/showroom.
Children’s Shows:
Marty prefers to perform for ages 6 and up as they have proven to have a greater attention span, better ability to understand the magic, and more willingness to participate in the show. Younger children are encouraged to attend with adult chaperones.
Marty loves performing for children, but he requires at least one adult be present during his show.
If at all possible, Marty would appreciate having the performance area to himself while setting up his show.
Cancellation Policy:
Client should reserve a suitable indoor location or provision as an alternative in the event of inclement weather conditions.
Please understand that Marty relies on his performances as a full-time professional entertainer for his livelihood. If you have signed a contract to secure Marty’s services for a particular date and time, a cancellation will automatically result in the forfeiture of your deposit and/or one-half the balance of the invoice. However, if the cancellation is within 21 days of the event, Marty will request the full balance of the invoice.
Should the client postpone the event to a mutually agreeable date within 30 days of the original event date, the deposit will be transferred to the new date.
Thank You!
